What Is The Ideal Male Body, According to Females ?

What Is The Ideal Male Body, According to Females ?

The age-old question all men want to know the answer to – what is the ideal male body according to females ? Are our shoulders big enough, stomach too big, arms too thin and a stream of endless questions showcasing our insecurity when it comes to building the ideal physique women crave.

And whenever we do see a hottie glancing at us we immediately get an ego boost injection and start puffing out our chest. But it makes you wonder whether she is looking at you because she finds you attractive or she is repulsed by the huge “grotesque” muscles and your “gym-rat” douchebag” look.

That begs the question – what body type women find most attractive, or what’s the ideal male body according to women ? Do they want the shredded beast look or they just want us to have an athletic and fit body. Let’s delve into this matter in details since it is one of the many questions that weigh upon men’s minds and so that we can help them achieve their ideal physique and increase their success with the ladies.

This line of thinking can get a lot of heat from a lot of people, saying you shouldn’t be training for women and you should train for yourself. To each his own, I say. If you don’t train to look better for the ladies, that is your decision.

Some people train to improve themselves both mentally and physically, get healthier and become stronger. And that’s perfectly fine. And if some women do come along, that’s a bonus. But, some people simply train to impress women. And that’s fine too.

THE IDEAL MALE BODY – HEALTHY-LOOKING BEATS BEAST-LOOKING

Every man that lifts weights wants to be a beast in his own relative perception of the word. Some men want to have the bodybuilder look but not so much that it scares people, whereas other men want to look monstrous and be built like the Hulk. And that’s bad news for those thinking that this body type will bring them, women.

Here are some statistics:

  • 90.3% of women say that they want a man that is health-conscious
  • 74.6% of women want to date a man stronger than them
  • 60.7% of women want to date a man that can protect them from physical danger
  • 60.1% want the man they date to always look his best
  • 58.5% of women want their man to have bigger arms than them
  • 39% of them want their man to be muscular and strong
  • 38% are satisfied with an average body
  • 2.7% want him shredded and lean.

Let that sink in for a while.

Only 2.7% of women think that the ideal male body should be cut and jacked. Why is that? Well, women want a man who takes care of himself and his health and not one who is obsessed and self-absorbed about his looks.

At first, this information goes against every conventional wisdom and what we thought about attraction. Are women really that intimidated by muscular bodies that they would rather date a weak looking man instead of a strong muscular man?

S******S ARE DEFINITELY OFF-LIMITS

The majority of women have absolutely no idea how hard men need to train to look like bodybuilders. They see it as an unhealthy obsession which is the exact characteristic that makes them unattractive. The reality is that most of the fitness models on the cover of fitness magazines are taking some sort of performance-enhancing drugs. Those in the fitness world are all aware of it. But regular women aren’t.

More than 90% of women reported that they wouldn’t be ok with their man taking juice. The reason for that is different from what you may think at first. A beautiful woman doesn’t want her man to be taking s******s because it might endanger his health but the body image isn’t of big importance, which is pretty contradictory. So, taking s******s or deciding to take s******s to achieve your ideal physique might prove to be a double-edged sword when it comes to maintaining your relationship.

THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF A MAN IS BASED ON THE TYPE OF WOMAN

This has come up as the most important result of the numerous studies that examined this matter. Let’s recap what we know so far. Women like men who have a body that is slightly above average and not looking like a beast or like he is taking s******s.

They do, however, want the man to be bigger and stronger than them which is logical. However, something else came up when narrowing the surveys which are extremely interesting and that is that women that train on a consistent basis want men that are training regularly and are in great shape too. This means that all the women we see at the gym who train just as hard and intensely as us, are the ones who would be most attracted to us.

All the data from the studies was taken from women having various body types, fat, normal, skinny, fit etc. But when the women that were working out were surveyed they all chose the muscular men as the most desirable.

This fact is phenomenal for two reasons: Fit women are the only women we desire anyway. Fit men aren’t looking for an overweight woman nor do they want a woman that doesn’t care about her appearance at all. Second, we can still continue to train and become huge even we aren’t training so that we look attractive to women.

We can still train to better ourselves and our body image and still get the women we know, find us attractive. I’m sure this is the most exciting news you’ve heard in a while. Nonetheless, the subject of taking s******s is still risky so even though your lady may be fit and strong she still wouldn’t want you using the magic pill or needle. What’s more, the super athletic girls are still not that into the beastly look.

THE ATHLETIC LOOK IS THE MOST DESIRABLE

Let’s face it, most of us will never dare taking s******s, nor do we have any illusions of ever becoming a fitness model. But that’s no reason to worry because the body look we achieve by training naturally is the ideal male body according to females, even to fit women. Below is a picture with the percentages of what women prefer when it comes to their perception of an ideal body.

THE IDEAL MALE BODY ACCORDING TO FEMALES

82% of the women want the healthy, in shape body look. In the picture, it is obvious the guy works out regularly but isn’t a ripped beast and isn’t taking s******s (That’s Steve Reeves by the way, an old school bodybuilder/actor). And the majority of women have reported that they consider it the ideal physique. Most men might be shocked to read this. After all, we’ve always been told that women want an alpha male that is big and that can protect them.

Now we know it all depends on the type of woman. If she works out, she is likely to want a guy that like her is into fitness. However, the regular everyday girl doesn’t want someone who is obsessed with his body. They desire someone who works out so that they are healthy and lean. And what’s even funnier is that most gym rats don’t want the shredded fitness women that much. Most of them want a girl who is also healthy and fit and isn’t obsessed with her body.

Taking into account all the previous studies, it is obvious that both men and women do not have a clue as to what an ideal looking body is when it comes to attracting the opposite gender. Men think that women want the ripped beast. And don’t get me wrong, some women adore that body, but they are only a small part of the female population. The majority consider it an unhealthy obsession and a major turn-off.

And as we said before even the ripped hulks want a slim and fit girl and not a fitness freak with 2% body fat. It’s safe to conclude that the entire body-image discussion is about looking whatever feels the most comfortable for you. If you do it for women, strive to be fit and healthy and not looking like a freak. And if you want to be a monster, you can rest assured that there are women out there that will like that look too, even though they are a minority.
